Don't get dad a tie or tools this fathers day. Those things are nice especially the tools and with unemployment being so high a tie could cause depression.
With all the tech gadgets out now finding a deal online is easy. Further more many retailers are offering free shipping and deep discounts.

I am making a list of what I would like as a dad and grand father.
Fishing gear. My fishing gear has been rebuilt, fixed cleaned so many times a new fishing poll or Real would be nice.

I would also really like a GPS. With so many GPS out now finding something affordable should be easy. Since I hike a lot I would like a portable GPS with Mapping. I would appriciate any kind of out door gear really.

A new Cell Phone. I have had the same Motorola Razr for five years. I really want a iPhone 3GS but they didnt add some items Ive been waiting for in the last update. I would take any new smartphone at this point. My phone doesn't even hold a charge now.

OK so we know smoking is bad for you. Everyone knows this. But why do states insist on raising tax's on something that more lower income people partake in. Think about it people who make very little money are the first to be drawn into the smokers world. Low income families can not afford to educate or monitor there kids because they are working 2+ jobs to feed that same family. People who have money can afford to keep there kids occupied after school and away from things like cigarettes. Families with money can also afford to bring there children to the doctor and teach the about bad habits. So we have a huge number of low income people smoking. And try to remember the very people who pass these tax's on cigarettes are accepting money from lobbyist and tobacco companies.
So low income people get hit from both sides. It has been proven that tobacco companies target low income people. So the very people who get stuck paying these tax's are the people who are the target of big business and politicians. Low income people lose either way.
You may ask why don't they quite smoking ? Well nicotine is more addictive than heroin. A heroin addict can go to a clinic every day and get methadone to help get off the drug, but a smoker has to go to the local pharmacy and pay $120.00 for a two week supply of the nicotine patch. $120.00 out of pocket at one time is impossible for a low income person. Buying a pack of smokes every other day is more financially feasible. And the patch doesn't even work unless the person has a support system as well. It is just so dumb.
Why do politician think everyone has money. They act like a cigarette tax dose nothing but good. What a bunch of crap. Someone with money who smokes can go to a Doctor and get the patch or some assistance when quiting and a poor person is paying $6.75 for a pack of smokes that the politicians Buddie's got them addicted too in the first place.
The new Governor of Massachusetts has deceived the voters. He ran on the promise to help poor people and it looks like the only group he is helping are his group/class RICH PEOPLE. The Governor of Massachusetts's is a scum bag. First thing he did when he was sworn in was to go get a Ford Expedition. Thats right a 8 mile a gallon vehicle. It's obvious to me that Governor Patrick is just another politician using it's citizens to climb the political ladder. Just like the ones who came before him. Over the last twenty years all the Governors have left office early for bigger and better things. Except Mitt Romney, but he pushed through a bunch of Laws and moved on too. No wonder people are leaving Massachusetts as fast as they can.
When are our politicians going to keep there promises? Never. Sorry to say. Its easy to say quit. All I can say is try it with no support or a doctor.
And no I don't smoke. I quit 10 years back and I can say It was not easy even with a Doctors help. Took 3 years to finally stop for good. I can say though that if I did still smoke I would buy them in Ass hole chuttsetts. Its cheaper and easier to drive to New Hampshire. Even if it cost more I would drive north just so these aholes wouldn't get any of my money.
Massachusetts is famous for screwing people. Know what they do on Cape Cod they invite students there and don't tell them if the cops come 3 time to a rental the landlord can kick you out without returning your deposit. Then the landlords rent the house to another group for the remainder of the Summer. It's a well known tactic among rental property owners on Cape Cod.
So when you come to Massachusetts bring some butt lubrication.

Manchester – In mid-November, a woman walked into the Crosstown Variety on the West Side, asked for a Polar Express lottery ticket and then told the clerk to surrender the money in the drawer.
The clerk -- a Bronx-born woman who isn't scared easily -- was so startled that she asked the customer if she was serious, said the store owner, Imtiaz Saeed, in a recent interview. His store has been robbed before, he said, but that was the first by a woman.
"A robber's a robber," Saeed said, "if they're going to come rob you, they're going to come rob you. More dangerous, less dangerous. You can't really compare."
His was not the only store recently stuck up by the fairer sex. Manchester has been experiencing a spate of robberies at the hands of women. Lisa Lundstrom, 29, of Manchester has been charged with the robbery of both Crosstown Variety and AK&A Market on Nov. 14.

New Harry Potter Book is Leaking Out On The Internet

Boy-O-Boy here we go again. The release of the newest Harry Potter And the Deathly Hallows book has become today's biggest news. How come every time a New Harry Potter book is released the emphasise put on people leaking it. According to recent reports their are several Web Sites posting the ending of the book. Who really cares if it is leaked out. True Harry Potter fans will still read the book. I don't think the true fans will even do a Google search for the leaked info. unless they are one the crazy fans who just can't wait. But how would they know if it is even for real. Anyone trying to attract attention to their web site could write anything. Whats to stop them. If they aren't writing whats truly in the book the publisher really has no recourse. Even if the leaks are real they received the book from a retailer or someone who released it early.
Every time I see something like this I can't help but think it is a advertising ploy. Think about it ! More than the writer and publisher make money off of Harry Potter. Their are hundreds of web site that bring in Potter cash. Even Harry Pot Head can be found on the Internet.
The first site that came up in my search was http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/ This site is into the whole Harry Potter craze. As they say they are trying to stop the leak they are drawing in readers that are searching the net. Think these folks aren't making a bucket load of cash. NOT. They are raking it in.
I can't wait to see when the first copy hits EBay. Oops it's already their. Not in pre-sale form either. So I guess I will put a link in for it. Give EBay a try for this book. I think you will be surprised how fast you can have your copy of book 7 in the Harry Potter series.

This Harry Potter book will also be printed in braille for blind children. It is being printed in Boston Ma.
When it comes down to it I always believed that heavy readers are antisocial. Burying one's head in a book and ignoring whats going on around them is antisocial, like it or not. Kids are one thing, but when a parent ignores the kids to read that is pretty selfish. Come to think about it anyone who reads while others are in the room are rude.

Totally killer . As in the old days they come out and do their thing. The Smashing Pumpkins Are one of the coolest bands. Semi-retired I hope not. Having seen them back in the day I can say not much has changed. maybe accept their hair. Maybe it took them disappearing for a few years for us to realize what they brought to the music world. The last time I saw them was at the breast cancer concert in Boston around 1999 or 2000 something like that. It was the best 3 hours of music ever. The stage and costumes were made for the ultimate LSD trip. Live Earth is just a little different. 4 Tunes doesn't do the Pumpkins justice. First thing this morning 7/7/2007 777 I awake to Live Earth Summer music, hurray. It's not often you wake up this type of thing on your TV. Duran Duran Seemed to be getting the bad sound blues that always occurs during large events or even the first set of a Grateful dead show http://www.dead.net/. Duran Duran did pull together a awesome montage of upbeat sax tunes. The saxophone was always my favorite part of Duran Duran. Having seen Live Aid http://duranduran.com/ brings back memories. The Black Eyed Peas pulled it together a little better www.blackeyedpeas.com/. The BEP's made a fan out of me. The comes along the Red Hot Chili Pepper's. A band that I have been following since their days on college radio station. I have seen the Chili Pepper over 5o times including Woodstock 1999 when the place caught fire and the national guard were called in. Man they get everyone going big time. Seeing the RHCP's http://www.redhotchilipeppers.com/ away from a festival setting is awesome. Usually they are naked half the time. After the Chili Peppers the coverage moved to snippets from other city's. Linkin Park appeared from Tokyo Japan. Another band I just love. They have a special place on my iPod for skiing. The in between plugs for the cause are OK. They always tell everyone what they want you to do for the cause, but they never help implement it. Perhaps Live Earth will be different. Lets Hope. A good place to find things like solar chargers for your cell phone and Apple iPods is Ebay.
The New York Part of the show should full of Eco friendly ideas. The London part certainly was.

So she is finally out of jail. I can't believe that Paris Hilton would go on Larry King. What is this ?
All these popular cultur people go on Larry King to confess to the world when their lives go south. Larry King has more skeletons in the closet than most of these pop cultur people. Who his he, some kind of priest. What a crook.
As far as changing her life. Everyone who go's through this type of court thing wants to change. It fades very fast. It's the emotion of being court screwed I call it. The court system is enough to make anyone want to change. It's almost certain she will be back to the same old, same old within a month.. The court isn't a priest either. The court system wants to knock you down. They need to, so they can gain control of you and then keep you stuck in the system. Paris watch out for the candy on the probation officers desk. It usually has alcohol in it. It's the oldest trick in the book. The last day of probation they usually want a breath test. But before hand you may be offered a piece of candy. Don't eat it.
Well Good luck to you and do your self a favor. Stay off TV. Cancel Larry King. You already have $. I see no need to confess to Larry King. People go on his show to save their careers. If you already have $ theirs no need. Stay off TV. your just looking for trouble. Finish probation and keep your mouth shut. The more attention you draw to your self the more your P.O will get pissed. 2.5 years of probation. WOW. Stop drinking and life will get better !

So Paris Hilton has four days left to serve in jail. I am still in ah about this. It is unbelievable that she is being treated this way. The average person would have been out in two or three days. It is definitely sending a message to millions of spoiled brats in our country. When it comes to the court watch out it will bit you. I believe her lawyers failed her along with her parents. I could see how a space shot wouldn't understand how these things work. The registry and the courts do it on purpose. They know people screw up and they are just waiting. They have plenty of time.
And how cruel can the court be. Letting someone out and then putting them back in jail when they did nothing to have the home release violated. I think she has a case for cruel and unusual punishment. She did nothing. The problem is between the sheriff and the judge.
Well to bad for her. Things like this happen everyday across America.

So it has finally happened. Paris Hilton is actually in jail. Check out the booking photo. Booking photo or staged glamour photo op. Not bad for some one who was crying 10 minutes before. Paris arrived at the jail last night and it looked like she was balling. Just the threat of jail time will drive the average person to find god. LOL. I give this girl lots of credit for sucking it up and doing her time. Well I guess she has no choice but to do it. What a mind freak for someone who has everything handed to her on a silver plate.
I couldn't imagine being in jail after having the world handed to me. She probably spends more money on a pair of shoes than the average person spends on food for a year. It just seem like rich people appreciate what they have. Everyone who enters the court system and has jail time hanging over their head go's through the same thing. You trash yourself, you get very depressed , most people sceem to try and improve themselves, but that wares off after time. Most people go right back to the way it was before they had the trouble. Just look at all the people convicted of drunk driving that get caught again within a year of getting off probation.
The police and the court are not stupid. This is exactly what they do. They scare you into pleading out the charges by offering probation , suspended sentence and a fine and sometimes AA. Then they just site back and wait for you to mess up. Most people do some how.If you violate by driving under suspension usually the judge will yell or give longer probation , but if you get caught drinking and driving again you can kiss your ass good bye. I believe Paris Hilton violated which is a different charge all together hence 22 days in the slammer. If it was another DUI or OUI that's bad. It would be second offence and a probation violation which means she would have gone to jail right then and possibly stay their until the OUI / DUI trial. That's screwed.
You can't blame the court. To many people are killed by drunk drivers.
Again the court is not stupid. They know by sentencing Paris Hilton to jail right off the bat for a simple probation violation it will send a message to these POP generation kids. These elitist kids really need a kick in the ass. This is what happens when you mess with the law period. The court system sucks. Paris Hilton could afford someone to drive her around it's not like she needs to drive to work like the common person in the court system. The common person has to weigh the risk with supporting their family against the violation. Is driving under suspension worth it for the common person ? Yes For Paris Hilton ? NO. I'm not jealous of her. I'm mad at her for being a elitist.
No one should be above the law. Update the jail let her do a retake of her booking photo. WOW

Wow. Facing jail time is scary shit, but asking the governor of a state for help. This girl is really out of touch with the way things work in court. Ware I live they give you a year for driving after suspension for OUI. She getting of easy with 45 days. Maybe she will learn something about real people and the real world. I think her parents should be going to jail also. What crappy parents. They let this girl grow up not being in touch with the real world. Letting her be famous for her name. What ass holes. It's about time one of these pop people get the same punishment the rest of us would get. By the way rehab is detox. It's not for people who use the "n" word or screw up in life. I don't why they call it rehab when a famous person screws up and go's to a mental institution. It's not the same thing. Rehab for insulting people. How dumb can the pop culture get. Get addicted to drugs, then they would know what rehab is. Let's just say it involves a lot of throwing up and padded rooms. Not TV and champaign ! I've had 3 surgery's in 2 years requiring pain killers and quit every time with no help. What a bunch of A-Holes these rich people are. They are so lucky to have what they have. I have lost everything. It took me a year and a half to get disability. And I'm glad to get the $525.00 a month. These pop people have spit in our collective face's far to long. I'm sure Paris is a fine person inside, but I'm glad she's getting a lesson from the real world. By the way I lost my dog the day after my first surgery. He died when we had 3 ft of snow and couldn't dig out of my home. He was all I had left. I would be glad to baby sit Paris's dog while she's in the can. Free !

Everything on the tube today seams to be about bad things our society put upon it's self. Murders , shootings, war, unsolved murders global warming. I even saw a news show suggesting Walmart was responsible for global warming. The tube is nuts. The shit these people dream up to create topics to boost ratings. All the media outlets dream up topics to try and prove as fact. Its like a show on the E network will use the word famous before someones name. Even if no one has ever heard of them they are now known as famous It is inserted into our memories.
I plan on ranting about alot of topics. Thus for now being pissed at the TV will sufise. How many times do we have to see Anna N. Smith's gums. Before the shootings this week thats all we saw on the news networks were that gummy ass smile over and over. And the net works could have come up with video and photo's that were more becoming for a dead lady. Not some fat sloppy gummy smilie drunken drunk.'

I'm starting this ranting page for many reasons. I've been wanting to for a couple months now. See I was injured almost 3 years ago, busting my shoulder up really good.
I sit and watch so much TV that I truly get angry. I have just come home today after a third surgery and I see myself watching even more TV over the next several months. I need some place to voice my anger. From Fox News to PBS I will rant about. The thing is none of us should even give two shits about what any of the TV news and pop culture delivers to our BOOB TUBES on a daily base's. The on TV I truely like to watch is base ball, and the Yankees are playing the Red Sox Now.
